MET Technician

Stephen James BMW Enfield is looking for a MET Technician.

Your role

As a MET Technician, you will work in the Bodyshop repair centre dismantling and reassembling damaged vehicles, always working to an extremely high standard whilst meeting targets and efficiencies. Once repaired, you will ensure that UK standards follow final quality checks. You will liaise closely with the Bodyshop Advisor to keep customers informed of progress or additional work, and colleagues report on repairs that require specialist skills or may cause delays.

The main duties of the role include:

  • To remove & refit, or replace various components such as mechanical items and trim
  • To diagnose, repair and maintain vehicles in accordance with BMW/MINI UK standards
  • To identify additional repair work, liaising with Bodyshop Advisor
  • To communicate effectively with Service and Parts departments
  • To keep colleagues informed on repairs requiring specialist skills, additional work, difficulties and delays
  • To carry out quality controls and sign off work at the appropriate point

Your profile

  • To have proven MET Technician experience within an accident repair centre
  • To ideally have an ATA/IMI accreditation in Mechanical, Electrical, Trim (MET) or NVQ Level 3, or City and Guilds.
  • To have a full, valid, and clean manual UK Driving Licence and must be eligible to work in the UK.

Salary and Hours:

Basic salary is £30,000 with an OTE of £48,000 per annum.
Working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
