Bodyshop Estimator/Vehicle Damage Assessor

Stephen James BMW is looking for a Bodyshop Estimator/Vehicle Damage Assessor.

Your role

As a Bodyshop Estimator, you will provide a courteous and efficient estimating and reception service for the Bodyshop department. You will be responsible for damage assessment, negotiation, selling Smart and Bodyshop time, products, and services, and liaising with insurance companies and their engineers where appropriate.

The main duties of the role include:

• To assess Bodyshop, S.M.A.R.T Repairs and extended warranties to customers
• To record a list of damages to the customers’ vehicles
• To use Audatex to calculate costs and the time required to complete all necessary repairs accurately and professionally.
• To liaise and negotiate repair approvals with insurance engineers and customers.
• To complete job packs and prepare invoices in an accurate and timely manner.

Your profile

• To have excellent communication skills to communicate credibly with our customers.
• To be able to develop rapport and trust with customers and to resolve conflict situations calmly and reasonably.
• To work to high standards, be self-motivated and able to multitask in a busy environment.
• To have proven experience working in a similar role in a busy Bodyshop centre. preferable with Audatex accreditation.
• To have a valid clean UK Driving Licence and must be eligible to work in the UK.

Salary and hours

Competitive salary with an OTE of £42,000 per annum, with company car.

Working hours, Monday – Friday, 8.00am – 6.00pm
