Are there any requirements?

If you are interested in applying for a BMW Apprenticeship, applicants are required to have, or predicted to obtain, GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent in Maths and English (literature or language).

For our Sales Apprenticeship, you must also hold a UK driver’s license.

To join as an apprentice, you must be at least 16 years old as of your enrolment date. There is no upper age limit for being an apprentice.

What happens if I am successful?

If successful, you will be employed at a BMW Group Retailer – an independent business, but as part of BMW Group UK’s Retail Network.

Every new apprentice will attend an exciting induction programme at the Plas Menai National Water sports Centre in Wales. Apprentices will then attend their first training block at one of our training centres.

What is the recruitment process?

Once we receive your application, we will assess it to verify you meet the initial eligibility criteria.

If successfully shortlisted, the recruitment process may follow these stages:

- Invitation to complete a telephone interview with a designated recruiter
- Face to face Interview with employer
- Work trail with employer
- Job offer

What documentation will I need?

You will be required to provide the following information within the recruitment process:

- Personal details
- Details of education and qualifications (evidence may be required)
- Details of additional support required if needed
- Employment history
- Up to date CV

You will be required to complete an aptitude test as part of the application process.

Who will support me on my programme?

Our experienced trainers provide the course material and hands-on teaching necessary to help you successfully complete your qualification. Additionally, the BMW Group has a dedicated team of representatives who regularly visit your workplace to ensure all your training needs are met, and to support you throughout your apprenticeship. You will also be appointed a mentor, to provide advice and guidance when at work.

In addition, we have a specialised support team available to assist you with any challenges you may face throughout your apprenticeship journey. Whether you require additional learning support or have any other concerns, there is a team member ready to help you.
